Red/ET Recombination courses in 2008
Dates are now fixed for the one-week training courses in 2008. They provide a unique opportunity to learn how to modify large DNA constructs using Red/ET Recombination.Course goals include:
- Apply Red/ET Recombination to modify BACs to generate targeting constructs
- Using Red/ET to knock-out genes on the E.coli chromosome in a base pair precise manner
- Use Red/ET to clone, subclone, introduce point mutations, protein fusions, etc.
- Learn how to subclone large DNA fragments without using restriction enzymes
The course is designed for molecular biologists and experienced technicians and combines seminars and practical lab-work. Special exercises will help the participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the advantages of “going directly into genomes”. Opportunities are also provided to discuss participant’s in-house projects.
Course dates:
March, 3-7 emphasis on Targeting Vectors
June 2-6 emphasis on E.coli modification
Sept. 15-19 emphasis on Targeting Vectors
Course Fee: Euro 3500, includes hotel, breakfast, lunch and two evening events
Courses are held at Gene Bridges GmbH , 69120 Heidelberg, Germany.
